Hajj: One of the Pillars of Islam

The Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and is obligatory for Muslims to perform once in a lifetime if the conditions are met. Hajj is considered a great opportunity for repentance and purification, and it is the largest religious gathering in the world. Hajj is performed in the city of Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and it includes a series of rituals that are carried out in specific places in Mecca and the holy sites.
One of the most important pillars of Hajj is Ihram, which begins from the designated Miqat, where pilgrims wear the Ihram garments and make the intention to perform the rituals of Hajj. Then, pilgrims perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, and stand at Arafat, which is one of the greatest rituals of Hajj.
It is a condition for Hajj that the Muslim must be physically and financially able and must have the capacity to endure the hardships of travel and movement between the holy places.
